Farmington/rainy day sunday

Here's a couple of pics from Sunday. Caught on cased caddis and caddis larva, Euro style nymphing. It was really slow. I fished for about 6 1/2 hours. Swung a streamer for a while but didn't even move a fish.

Tell us how you got the cased caddis! Its a great story to say the least

Oh yeah, I forgot that part. I look upstream as far as I can see and I see a familiar figure and a friend of his fishing, so I figure they may work their way down to where I am so I stayed there. About 15 or 20 minutes later I look upstream and they are gone. So, I work my way up to the spot they were at and start fishing it and I see some line hanging off a tree that is hanging over the hole. I spend about 20 minutes fishing the spot and then I wade over to the tree and follow the line up into the tree and low and behold someone left me two nice presents. That is how I got the cased caddis that I caught the fish on. Thanks Aaron! I may have only caught one fish yesterday without that fly. I like how you used the ice dubbing in that cased caddis and I know the other fly will be killer when a certain mayfly gets more active.

Given the conditions and my own lack of success on Friday, that's a pretty good day. Nice fish. I can't believe you didn't even touch one with the streamer! Remember Opening Day two years ago?
