Where the Stream Has No Name...

I Took a trip to stream that I have not been to in years. As I headed up Rt. 87 I was thinking about my last few trips to this river. They were less than successful. However, on those last trips, I was fishing with indicators. On this trip I was armed with the Euro methods that I have learned over the past bunch of years. What a different stream this was. I caught more fish in an hour and a half than what I caught on my best day there! The fishing was fantastic. I caught tons of nice wild brown trout. Some of the fish were very large. I also did well on streamers, which was what I caught my
largest fish on. The largest fish was a measured 21 inch brown! I caught it on a Kracken in olive. You can rest assured that I will be taking the three hour drive again in the near future!

Sweet fish! Funny how you never get tired of looking at pictures of beautiful trout, especially wild fish. They are an art form all in themselves - one of natures best if you ask me.

Nice fish Aaron! I often think about creeks that I've fished in the past wondering how I'd do there with a long line instead of the spinning tackle I was using. Slippery Rock Creek is one that comes to mind.

is that really Aaron? tough to tell with the amount of camo he is wearing...

Great stuff...on streams that have no names around me I am excited at the 8 inch brookies that I can find.

Gotta second what SperryWater said, those are some beautiful trout. That colored-up male in the bottom pic is especially pretty. Nice job Predator.

I hope I do better the next time I fish there than I did the first trip! I netted one trout for a full day's fishing, Aaron was in the upper teens. And we used the same flies, with him even fishing my water after I beat it up first. Ever have one of those off days? Jeez. I swore I'd never go back there, but now I'm thinking differently..... I need some Revenge!
