It's been a very good month, and since I've learned to nymph I've been catching more and more fish through out the day rather than sitting on the bank for 4 hours waiting for the evening hatch.

Nice shots man, and a cane guy...love it. Is that a quad in the top photo?

I use cane always since I started making them, and despite their weight, they have a sensativity I think is better than plastic.

Love to hear more about the rods, looks like a couple of you guys like them! CJ

The rod in the first pic is a quad. My friend Jim Haynie down in florida makes all of my cane rods, he does a great job. If you're ever in CT (or if you're from CT) you should go to Mcallister's fly shop on the farmington river in riverton. He carries a bunch of the Haynie rods.

I'm interested however in your rods. What do you build? price? I like buying rods from the smaller "home" builders, I think you get a much more personal rod and it makes the rod more special. And I'm always looking for a new one.
