New Setup HELP!

I have always used pre made leaders when fishing streamers, but the other day i picked up some maxima ultragreen. with how much you are supplied with and the wide range of weights i was wondering if you could fish it without any extra tippet. For example... 3 feet of 25 lb. straight to a line. any feedback and thoughts would be awesome.

you could do that...I would probably go with 3ft of 25 lb and a 2x tippet maybe 2 ft long. typically thats the basic setup I use. no need to pay four bucks for a streamer leader...the other option would be to save your beat up dry fly leaders cut them down to 3 or 4 ft. and add a little 2 or 3 x to the end of it.

I run straight 12-15 P-line or Vanish. $10-$15 for 250yds. Can't beat that!

Just like EGuy said. If I'm fishing smaller streamers, then I'll drop down to 8 lb, but if you're doing some serious chucking, just go with the 12 lb. I think I mentioned in a previous post, if you're looking for Vanish, check your flyers, a lot of the larger chain stores run awesome promos at the start of each season. Last year I think they ended up being free after rebate, this year I stocked up when they were buy 1 get 1.

Yah sportsmans up here runs there berkley vanish on sale for 9.99 that beats the hell outta Rio, and its 100% fluoro. you just can't beat it for streamer fishing.

If I correctly understand a question with my bad English consists in that to do without leaders made on factory at catching on streamer?
If so that I do not see the reason not to make the leader most of pieces mono different diameter or in general from one piece mono directly to a line.
If you catch on a sinking line with a streamer that there is no big necessity to use the leader, after all the presentation of a dry fly)) isn't necessary to you) it is possible simply a piece монофила and the more the sinking leader and a deep water you want the more shortly a piece монофила, in reasonable limits certainly.It will approach for large streamers and some fish which isn't afraid thick tipets
