Hiked into the Gorge with backpack on Sunday. beautiful weather, beautiful river. Nobody around. 4 brownies and missed two other on weighted caddis larvae. Very nice afternoon, wish the season wasn't closing!

I fished it for a few hours saturday, unfortunately i couldn't get there early or get to stay late and ended up being there from 12 to 3 so i had to endure the very bright weather. Got 4 or 5 on nymphs, pheasant tail and hares ear, and missed a few on a klinkhamer. Lovely river and I only saw one other person way upstream from me.
DrBob, out of interest how far do you walk down the trail? I went down for about 20 minutes or so. I didn't realise they close it so early, was hoping to go again next week.

I don't know how far I went down, pretty far I suppose if that statement is at all descriptive. Above and below the falls? I haven't been there in many years but will go back. I backpacked my stuff in and changed at the river.

Will have to work on flyfishing with my kids in the Farmington or Housy this weekend
