from what i heard maybe 90 percent of the trout didn't make it this summer. so anybody who fishes the housy tma or surrounding area, housatonic river outfitters is having a raffle to stock there own fish on top of what the state does. tickets are 20 bucks so anybody interested give them a call. hopefully more fish survived or stayed but i doubt it

You have any idea what the story is on the tribs that feed the housatonic...i've been planning on fishing Macedonia Brook for a few months as it's got one of the best wild brook trout populations in western CT but is closed from June 15-Aug 31 for "temperature refuge" purposes..would be a shame if that got wiped out as well
