21" Blue River Rainbow, caught right up near the dam this evening on a #20 epoxy mysis. Flows right now are at 830 cfs, normally they're around 400 cfs... Luckily I was able to wrangle this fish into the slower water before it took off into the rapids, or else I would have been swimming (I've done it before...)! This river is tougher to fish with the high flows, but the rewards are great if you're persistent, AND if you can land your prize... I'll be back in the morning, as I saw some other big fish in the slower troughs near where I caught this guy.
Aaron, you might really luck out when you get out here, as the runoff is about to end early this year in the next week or so... Could make some of the higher profile rivers around here red hot!
