We fished the Housatonic and had an exceptional day. Randy wanted to learn how to catch them on the Housy. We stayed away from the pools and nymphed the pockets with a long leader Euro Nymphing method. It was a great day and we have a new convert here!

We used four flies all day and caught loads of fish. The Stonefly nymph was the winner on Sunday. The Dronestone took quite a few fish and the rubberlegs held it's . We saw no Hendricksons but we did see a few caddis and a load of blue winged olives in the afternoon.

What a pretty stream. I can't wait till the next batch of hatches get going! It's going to be pretty good there!
