    Deerfield 6-1-07

    Got out tonight for a couple hours. Fishing was slow until it got close to dark. Then all hell broke loose; big rusty spinners, small sulphurs, BWO's, caddis... Caught about a dozen in the last hour or so of light. All Rainbows, about 12 to 16 inches.

    That sounds great! I remember a few years ago (the date was June 3, 2004), there were HUGE Bwo that started at about 8:30, and there were about 20 rises per minute in about every 30-40' stretch. . .unbelievable. I LOVE this weekend. . .I can't believe I won't be out there.

    Were you up top at Fife brook, or down below?

    Can't wait to hear more as the weekend continues

    I was down below Cosbys, I met a guy on my way out who didnt do too well, think he said he was just learning, but his friends had done really well, they were upstream of me a ways - He said his friend landed a 21" Brown.

    Temp at 7PM was 67.7

    I've just been informed that I wont be fishing tomorrow morning, but I guess its OK, I got out tonight, I'm getting out tomorrow night, and should be out Sunday, morning and evening.

    Sounds fantastic Eddie - I didn't get home until 8:30 so I never would have caught up with you, but Sunday morning sounds good - I have to go to a graduation in the afternoon. Looking forward to taking this guy, Jeff, out tomorrow from about 9 till late afternoon. ;D

    Wow, 67 degrees last night. . .that's pretty high for the Deerfield already. I guess the past few days of such hot weather really heated that cold stream water.

    Hope you guys have good outings, I'm looking forward to hearing about the reports.
    Anxious to hear how many anglers were on the water.
