    Cleaning up the Farmington

    I would like to try and set a date to do a mass cleaning of the Farmington. It is in real need of a cleaning, I have pulled at least a few hundred beer cans and other small debris. Every time I am on the river I bring a garbage bag to pick up random stuff. I need help. It is our responsibility as fly fisherpeople to take care of the river. Send me a message if you are interested in taking a weekend to do this.

    When we reach 1,000 members we are going to have a get together and we will have a stream clean up as well. It's a shame that people can be such pigs. I never understood not cleaning up after yourself.

    The FRAA does a clean up every spring. I posted this on the local sites a bunch of times in the weeks prior to the event. Guess how many people from the sites showed? Maybe one at the most. But withh the few that showed we pulled a truck load of crap out of there. From air conditioners to toilets. We just need folks to give back.
