    Farm 6/26

Got to hit the Farm for a while this morning, went to work with my dad. The water is still up a bit but very fishable even in the TMA ( I fished ovation, then went up to Riverton). I got a great start this morning by forgetting my boots, I know smooth move. Luckily I had a pair of Nikes in the car so I buckled down and wore them, which by the way I would not reccommend I almost killed myself a couple of times and it's not very comfortable. But I did manage a pretty good day fish wise, I ended up with about a dozen fish, nothing to write home about but I can't complain either. All fish were taken on stones and caddis, but it seemed that every time you found something that the fish wanted it was only good for 2 or 3 fish then you need to go through another 10 flies to find the next one that worked. I probably would have done better if I had wading boots as I was being careful and tried to stay out of the heavy fast water but oh well atleast I stayed dry. Here's some pics.

I might as well have worn roller blades

every fish today was just like this one, no dinks and no lunkers

    the fly of the day

    ovation

I think I might be going out to give it another try sunday or even tomarrow evening, my dad is really itching to fish he hasn't gone in 2 weeks!!

Dry fly showdown is coming lol

A dozen fish is a good outing. I fished in the tail end of the t-storm today. I caught a bunch and then the lightning got closer, so I wimped out! I have some pics of that storm and I know Alain drove through some serious hail.

Bring it on mr. nympher!! I'm ready for this I got a ton of freshly tied dries specially made for the Farm, none of which you get to see until the "competition" is over lol jk

did you fish the TMA or were you up river today? Because I was in a spot that had some serious dry fly action around 2:30 ;D I think I saw alain at ovation this morning, but I'm not sure I never met him?

Crazy weather this evening huh guys? Fortunately the sun came out at 7:30pm and I was lucky enough to hit the Ovation Pool. Killer evening with sulphurs everywhere!

There were good sulphurs at ovation? the caddis were pretty good this morning, I think the farm could be killer as far as hatches this year if the rain would only slow down so the river could get to average height. Maybe the sulphurs and iso's will overlap like they did 2 years ago ;D man o man that's what I dream about all winter long!! cross your fingers

If this rain could ever stop, I hear that kyle. The last 2 days have been lethal at Ovation! Last night, I lost track how many I caught 20+ atleast! Every single sulphur imatation I had in my arsenal, they took. Towards the end I switched over the a Vitreus parachute and they destroyed it!

Ha Haa! I'm planning on hitting Ovation around 7pm tomorrow, weather permitting. Of course, after hitting a few hidden areas!

Hey guys, next time you go to the pool you both specifically named on here, don't be surprised when there are 20 other people fishing it at the same time. :P Not trying to give you all a hard time, but save the pool names for PM's. Word to the Wise.
