    2 Outta 3 Ain't Bad

    Fished for about an hour this morning before the family Thanksgiving get together. Flow was medium, clear and about 40 degrees. Ended up 2 for 3, here are the pix:

    This smaller brown thought she was a Salmon Parr, she must have jumped about 5 times-


    I guess she liked my egg fly-

    While I didn't see very many people fishing, there were actually other anglers out doing the same thing I was, squeezing in an hour or two before their familial obligations. Felt good to score some trout before stuffing myself full of Turkey, and it was a milder, mostly sunny morning to boot. Sometimes life is good. ;D

    Nicely done Torrey and Happy Thanksgiving. I had the same notion as you and visited a smaller stream close to my home. I only had about a half hour, and managed to catch one single trout, a 12in stockie brown that was really dark and thin. This was the third time this year a small run I know yielded a fish. My brown also hit an egg. It was actually deceptively chilly when I went out.
