I recently made a decision to allocate a certain part of my fishing time to dries - even though they may not be rising (blind) and assuming it will be less productive than streamers/Nymphing. On Sunday afternoon I was in the park getting frustrated at a few risers that wouldn't indulge me. HRO's suggestions posted today really is a very brief but very detailed summary of some invaluable advice . Of Course....I took the only route a neophyte could on Sunday....I threw on a #14 Royal Wulff - kept drifting it through the faster riffles and nailed 2 browns. It was very exciting - the takes were not subtle and I didn't have to set the hook...the line went tight on each strike by itself. Anyway...I appreciate the posts and figured it should be shared.
