    Spruce Ridge Club

Hi guys - just found your site - came upon your video of the Little J where you guys hook into some of Donny Beaver's "purina" hogs. I assume you guys waded downstream from the confluence with Spruce Creek and stayed below the high water mark. He used to threaten anyone who wasn't one of his high paying sports. He also has a stretch on Spruce at Colerain where he plants his fish. If you want a real laugh, throw a couple handfuls of dog chow off the bridge at Colerain and all heck will break loose. If you want a legit 10 lb. brown, I would suggest the Salmon River in the spring. Great steelheading also.

Hey you can say what you want but its fun catching those fish!
I get enjoyment from everywhere I fish.

However, I have caught tons of big browns from Lake Ontario tribs. Its fairly easy! Now go to AR and get a 10 pound wild brown! That's an accomplishnment. One that I hopd to do this summer!

I dislike private property and anytime I get to go catch someones fish in that situation I will. Its a sort of punishment lol.

Wasn't trying to be judgmental - I'm not a fan of private water either, but I do spend a couple days each year on Spruce Crk in Wayne Harpster's cottage and he keeps the dog chow in a trash can on the front porch (I'd prefer if he were more discreet). He claims he only uses it in the winter to supplement the natural food supply, but there is no way such a small creek can support that many big fish. Although Wayne's stretch does harbor a good number of stream-bred browns esp. if you get away from the home pools. Good luck in AR - is it the White River? Saw some pictures on your site of Valley Creek which is near where I live - have you ever made it there for the sulpher hatch?
