    E. Branch Brandywine 5/30 Tully 6/1

    Fished the E. Branch Brandywine with my wife's colleague. He is pretty new to fly fishing but he did ok. One trout with a few sunnies and creek chubs. I did well with disco midges being the hottest fly. There are still some breeders in there from earlier in the year. I hooked one in a riffle but lost it.


    The Tully is fishing unreal. There are so many fish in there right now. Sulphurs and caddis took all the fish. Caught a few on dries but mostly nymphs. Fished Paper Mill down to Road to Nowhere. Largest fish was a 16 in rainbow. These places all open up to harvest in two weeks so I don't know how long this will last.

    I am not sure what the "harvest" will be like. I assume that many of the killers are done for the year, but I have been wrong before. I was at the paper mill last Sunday. Hooked up with many rainbows but landed few. They really know how to shake out the hook on me. Maybe I will see you on there sometime. I am moving this July, I will be within 3 miles of the Tully. I hope the fishing is tolerable in the summer.
