NE salt water rod

I use a 9wt Loomis GLX in the surf. Basically it's a fast action light wt. rod. I love it and can throw a mile with it for extended periods without tiring. I'd go with anything similar.

That and the Sage XI2 are the best saltwater rod series hands down.

all about the grain window a particular rod can handle...

and to say a particular rod is the best....well we all know that what is trash in one person's hands is treasure and vice versa...a lot of folks love the helios...can't stand em....if possible too light...best rod to me...glass for the salt...
