Its one thing on a forum like this to offer an opinion on fly fishing related matters but it is yet another to make a comment that there is rock snot in a specific river system . I feel it is irresponsible to make an acusation like that here of anywhere without professionally corroberated evidence that this is indeed the case. There is not a river in this country that has an ecosystem more closely monitored and cared for than the Farmington River, hands down. As of yet there is absolutly no evidence of dydmo infestation in the Farmington. There are many other algae colonies in a typical river system which are obvious to the angler but not dangerously invasive.
