    Ressica Falls

Has anyone here ever fished the other Bushkill Creek at Ressica Falls? I am going there tommorrow. I heard that caddis larva and czech nymphs are the ticket.

It's a fun place to fish for sure. There are a ton of bright green caddis larvae in there. Stoneflies are also very productive there. I have no idea what the flow is but if it's low make sure that your flies are lightly weighted. The stream is very shallow on average. For dropper flies try midges as I have done very well on red ones there in the past. Let us know how you make out...

Tomorrow is here. Let's here the report.

Sorry, with school and life I live vicariously through others fishing.

Sorry Steven, I don't have much to report. I started out euro-nymphing the pocket water which was abundant to say the least. I either did not get any strikes or I missed them completely. I am pretty sure the latter was the case. The current was very swift and my Aquastealths were hard pressed to stay under me in the midst of it, I am glad I brought my staff with me. The creek looked a little on the high side as the water was into the crass on the bank in places.
My buddy Ken and I switched to streamers after about 2 hours of nymphing futility. Ken managed two browns out of a deep eddy on a black ghost. I hooked one but lost him when he beelined for the current.

Here are some pics I took.

The lower falls at the entrance to the Boy Scout Reservation. To gauge their size, the logs in the falls were as big if not bigger than telephone poles.

    Lopat...

I just bought the book, Pennsylvania Water Falls by Scott Brown. And I was thinking, it would be cool to visit many of the water falls, photograph many of them AND fish them. Thanks for the pictures. What a beautiful place. I have almost as many great memories of places I have fished as what fish I did or didn't catch.

Looking forward to the weekend and fishing.
