    The coolest part of the story is super glueing the fly to keep it together! What a smart idea to have that on your person while fishing.

    Haha yeah, especially for a one-fly contest... its almost a necessity. Are you allowed to carry different sizes of that one fly or literally, is it just the ONE FLY that you are allowed? Otherwise I don't see your fly surviving that contest at a place like that without superglue!

    Generally, it's that one fly. If you lose it on your first cast of the day, then you're done. It looks like he was targeting pickerel with that thing. Great story, and a great call to use a foam bodies fly. Can you imagine trying to resurrect a standard dry fly pattern?
