Today was a beautiful day, so I went fishin. I spent a few hours at the KL Gorge. I caught a some small fish and enjoyed a few hours on the water. I was surprised at how low the water was considering all the rain we had and there were quite a few leaves in the water.
Tomorrow I'm off to the Salmon River for a week. The water has been coming down, (now running 1600 from the dam) but still high so we will be checking out N&S Sandys.

I hear ya'. Went out today for some more "Tails from the Tribs". Still on every where I go. I could'nt beleive how low the water was myself considering what it had looked like a few days ago. Today was perfect flows and clear as anything. Nice size Browns on their spawning runs.

With all the leaves in the water I was having most luck with green flies. A #10 Caddis Larva done in Green Ice Dub was the winner all day. Got a few on Ol' Rubber Legs as well. Thought that the green would stand out against all the foliage in the water.

Dud you see/catch any holdover stocked fish? I am sure that the wild fish did great, but I'm curious to hear how the stockers made out.

2 were hold-overs, the other 5 looked like newly stocked rainbows. I haven't fished since the end of June, 'didn't want to pressure the fish with the temps well into the 90s over the summer. I'm happy to hear you feel the fish did ok during the summer.
