    For those of you that use the tape method. there comes a point when you have to clean the sticky residue from your rod. There is a product you can get in your local hardware store that is called GOO-B-GONE. This is a great product for cleaning sticky stuff from fragile finishes. It is always a good idea to try it in a small area first just to make sure it wont hurt the finish.

    Good info, but just an fyi for people, I've used this method on my switch at least 20 times and there is no residue. I'm sure it is different for different rods though.
