    Salmon River Report

Fished the Salmon River with a couple of buddies. All got into fish. I hooked 10 but only landed 4. Not my ideal percentage but I guess fish is fish. Fished streamers mostly. Housy What's It's and Zoo Cougers. Hooked a few on nymphs. Landed one. Salmon River is now getting the crowds. Will be a Zoo on Saturday. I think the fish have been getting hammered the last few weeks but the State always stocks until around June or so, so there are always fish there. I might hit it a few more times but I am Housy bound this weekend. Housy, Delaware, and the Farmington for the rest of the year with most of my time on the Housy and the D. Tight ones folks...........

Good luck fishing the Housy, if we get the rain that they are forecasting you wont be able to get in it till may....can you say 10,000 cfs????? See you there....NOT

i agree... looking at this weather forecast it looks like it is going to be a washout > maybe it will be a blessing in disguise... the trout after all do have to eat! it will be a boat only fishery this season!!! i am looking forwards to it becoming fishable because of the excellent holdover rate that occurred over the last year!

YEAH YOUR RIGHT! I just checked the last weather report. No Housy this weekend at all and possibly no Housy until the following weekend unless we get hit with more and more rain. Of course, higher water, not dangerousely high, but higher flows mean me taking out my pontoon boat and floating the river which is fine with me ;D

It should be good, we will see how the DEP does with the stocking this year....you still in it to watch them put the fish in? I am putting a post in the CT section that I think you will need to read. More to follow....Keep your eyes posted...
