Centuries ago, a naturalist /artist observed that animals camoflauge themselves by counter-shading. A deer his darkest on the back graduating to white hair on its belly. Minnows have a white belly/ black back. have you fished streamers where you flip the countershading to white back/ black belly? If yes, did you catch fish? In theory such a streamer would be more visible to a predator and might make it appear more vulnerable.
