I got to fish here yesterday for the first time since the start of the summer. The place gets super hot during the summer and I'm really amazed that the fish survive but they do. The water was super low yesterday and one of the pools I always fish that is noramally over your waders deep was bairly waste deep. I managed to get a few fish including a holdover rainbow and a nice 14'' brown. I'm actually a little surprised that I have not pulled a bow out of here that held over for a few years. You would think the ones that make it past the bait guys in the spring would make it a few years but maybe it is harder to survive the summer temps once they are a larger size. Either way it was nive to get over there and fish for a few hours and see that the browns survived another summer.

Holdover all colored up.

Sweet Pequannock wild brown.
