I checked the weather channel and they turned out to be right for once.I had promised my 16 yo nephew a trip so I called and he was available to go.I took Kyles advice and headed down stream below Collinsville.I've never fished there before so I don't know what any of the holes are called but we came down rt.4 to rt. 179 and took a right and fished where there was a pull off and a long walking or bikeing trail.Water reminded me of the Housy, deep pockets with boulders and treacherous wading. But there were lots of fish.Had to up to a 6 ft. sink tip over my standard 4.If you mended right and got it down you were rewarded with takes. All rainbows except 2 small browns. We tied for biggest around 15 inches but I think he had me but I couldn't let him know lol. Both olive and white weighted buggers did the trick.Streamers are a great tool for new flyfisherman because the cast isn't as important as the retrieve in my mind.A sloppy cast isn't going to matter 20 ft downstream. Action again slowed around 2:30 so we drove up river but did not fish.I did see a guy with a spey rod not too far from the dam. That looked like nice water also.
