made a trip up with trout5 after work to fish a river that i have not fished in a long time. we had some good but at times difficult dry fly fishing. between the both of us we landed over a dozen trout with many of the trout going over 14 inches. the largest fish was measured at 20.5 inches. some were wild and some were holdover fish. the sulpher spinner fall was simply amazing, the bugs were literally covering the water. the trout were gorging themselves from dusk onward. the sheer amount of insects ont the water is what made the fishing tough. there were also march browns/grey foxes hatching as well as some isonychia. there was also a heavy march brown spinner fall. the trout were caught on sz 14 sulphers and size 10 march brown spinners.
