Neversink River: What do you think?

I am planning on fishing NY next year and would like to on a regular basis. I figure if I get there 4-6 times in a year is good considering where I am located in CT. I am eyeing up the Neversink. Tailwater, good size wild and stocked fish, from what I read the flows are not messed with like on the WB Delaware, and the hatches are great. I also believe it is closer to me than the Delaware. I think you have fished it Aaron multiple times. What do you guys think of it? Sounds like something I will do several times next year. Plus, buying the license covers my steelhead trip each Fall.

It's a very good river with great hatches, and the upper part closer to the dam stays cool all Summer. The Gorge section can be very good in the Spring thru late May/early June and then it tends to heat up. There are many big, wild trout in it. Aaron has fished it a lot more than me, hit him up about it when he is back from MT next week. It is about 1/2 hour closer than the Beaverkill & Willowemoc. I really like being there during a good hatch & fishing dries, it is an excellent place to tag a big trout on the surface.
