    Hackensack River Sunday


    There are some flyrodable Stripers to be caught even this early close to home. From the Hackensack River in Secaucus this Sunday. Yes that is the turmpike extention. White half and half was the fly.

    I have off next week. If you guys had a way to get me out there, I would love to go. I used to fish the powerplant in Jersey City many years ago and it was loaded.

    I love the Hobie. Having your hands free to fish is only way to go I think. The Hackensack is tough without a kayak tough. Most of the more productive ares are no really that accessable and wading is tough as it is so muddy and you really can't see the bottom. But there are fish in there including carp.

    yeah I've heard stories about the carp there. I want to buy a hobie but I have no place to keep it.
