They look big alright. I just don't think I could dig a fish that looks like that. ;D
I’ve been sick and tired of catching 8-14″ trout at all these spring creeks. I didnt want to tie my regular 4 dozen flies tonight so i decided to grab my 6wt and head to the crystal clear waters of Passaic County, NJ in search of the elusive golden bonefish that I have grown to love this summer.
The structure in the water might not be the usual rocks and plants of a trout streatm, rather old tires and discarded traffic cones, but if you can get past that the fish more than make up for the lack of scenery.
The fish were caught mostly on damselfly nymphs and 5x tippet. One fish caught today weighed more than my entire catch from my previous outing!!! The fish were bigger on average this trip as well!

You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish.
got one there last weekend...quite the fight
Good looking bonefish! Seems that carp fishing is becoming quite the rage these days. Perhaps you can start a guide service for the Europeans and Brits that come over...Day trips from NYC to Passaic. You could make a killing!
The crazy thing is that someone probably could pull that one off.
No doubt. Going to hit up the Harlem Meer in Central Park this Thursday or Friday, and see what I can get...
Guided fishing trips to Central Park. That would be something to see.

If you read in the back of the European fly fishing magazines there are adds to fish for carp in places like Houston. So our area would probally work as well.
God that parks a lot of fun!
Here's a decent video from Denver area...bigass fish at the end.
