John came out today for some fast and furious action. We started off the morning on the slow side. however, after 9am the fishng went off the charts. We landed well over thirty trout with almost one third of them being over 18 inches. The fish were off the isonychia nymphs and were all over and BWO nymph we could put in the water. Great Day

Wow! Those look spectacular. When I waded that spot yesterday afternoon, I could see fish of that quality, but didn't hook any! Mike did well there with nymphs, and later on we moved upriver to fish dries. The Isonychia hatch was quite heavy around 5pm. We both caught quality fish, but again Mike outfished me, with a 16in brown and bigger rainbow. I hooked about eight browns from 10-14in, and one larger one that straightened my hook!

I took a mid-afternoon water temperature of 66 deg. The fish were lively and healthy, and sprinted out of the hand upon release.

When you are back to 100 percent I think that Mike has it coming to him That sunday was sure some awesome fishing in the early AM and PM hours. It was slow midday as expected with the bright sun.
