Make sure you have one foot firmly planted before you move the next and for the most part you will never take a dive, its when you get cocky and try to move to fast that you will go swimming...
And just a question but whats the point of a wader belt been fishing for a long time and never wore one nor seen the purpose. other then keeping your waders from filling up if you take a dive?
a wader belt makes you like sexy in waders...
oh yeah.. it also keep water from getting in your belt.

Don't ever climb a high boulder mid-stream, tempting as it may be to cast further. Getting down from a high perch mid-stream (unless you can sit), is a recipe for a dunking.
When wading in a rocky or swift stream use a staff to help you maintain your balance.
Clean the snow off your boots before wading in the winter.
Before wading right into the river to fish the "prime spot" on the other side, take a minute to observe what is right in front of you and fish it, you may be surprised!
Dont take a (BANANA) on the guide boat unless you want to be kicked off (WOOPS!!!)

When standing still (or moving about,) try to keep one leg behind the other. In other words, the left leg is facing up stream thus it will take the current and the right leg can be a stabilzer.
Or you could stand behind a boudler to get the same effect (but fish the area first before you disturb it)
