    Hi Rego:

I seen this just a little bit ago and I thought that was really cool. That picture was taken at a show I was tying in called the Clear Water Junction up in Roscoe, New York last June. I had the fly being photographed while I was tying it. My table was being bumped. I had to stop in the middle of what I was doing for shots. The reason I will not forget this day, because I had to tye under pressure and time. With all this said, I still wouldn't trade that day for anything. Thank You for noticing and specially for the compliment. I hope we can meet up one day and wet a line and maybe afterwards a burger or steak and a nice cold beer.

Sounds great. I'd love to observe the way you fish your wets.

    Hi Davy:

Welcome back, to answer your question I have fished this fly and have found it most affective on bright sunshine days in the summer and early fall. This pattern has taken numerous Browns and Rainbows for me on the Beaverkill and Willowemoc up in the Catskills and on various streams in New Jersey speacialy my home waters the Ken Lockwood Gorge. If you take a look at a thread on flies I tied over the weekend you will see the fly in a much nicer tye than the one I had to done at the show for Fly & Fish magazine. This fly is OK but not up to my standards. The table was constantly being bumped and I also had to deal with a photographer while trying to tie this fly. The name of the fly is called The Captain. This fly is my favorite and is my signature fly. Now a quick funny story on this fly. I was fishing the Beaverkill in mid September on a beautiful warm sun shine day. I was catching fish with this fly, but the one I remember the most was a 4 inch Rainbow tried to eat this fly. You should of seen what a four inch Rainbow looks like trying to eat a size 6 wet fly. Anyway, I have to get back to work.
