if you travel up to warren county i can put you on some carp. don't know that area.
I'm on a long term project in South Jersey (metro Philly/Pennsauken) and with the longer day light that means time to fish. The bummer is that there is no trout in Pennsauken, but I'm sure there is carp.Does anyone have experience carp fishing in this area? It's OK if nobody steps forward, I'll understand.

had a few missed encounters with massive carp up top today. i'm actually glad i didn't hook up because they probably would have snapped my 10' 4 weight
I don't know much about carping other than they are around most places and that they are good fighters. Do they only live in fresh water as opposed to brackish/low flow tidal?
i'm not positive, but i haven't seen them anywhere but fresh water

I do a lot of carp fishing in the summer months. They are still spawning in my local water up here in New York. Should be done next week. Look for fish that are actively feeding. You will see the mud trail behind them. Crayfish, and wooly buggers should work. Also get a bigger rod. A ten pound carp will push a 4wt to its limit. And yes they will live in Brackish waters. I've seen guys in the Croton area of the Hudson river catch thirty pounders. Not with a fly though.
Cool. I'll bring a six weight. I can't imagine carp being leader shy so I'll just run a straight piece of nylon off of my fly line.
Cooper River holds some nice carp. Park near Grove Street in Haddonfield and walk along the stream, there is a dirt path that goes through Pennypacker Park.
