Wow, that fish does look mean! What great looking fish, it truly is a terrible shame what those "snagging anglers" are doing. It's too bad that they can destroy a healthy population of fish in no time. Cheers again for NJ trout fishing!
Fished the Pequest after work today. There is no shortage of broodstock there. There are many fish. However there are some truly despicable angling techniques being employed. I watched a guy snag a fish that looked about two feet and literally run out of the river to his truck with it. I never knew trout could walk that fast on land. If that was not enough the guys came back about a half hour later and started their "circle of snag" under the bridge. What a shame this was. I think that the recognized myself and another angler standing on the bridge watching them before they left. Because they didn't keep any on their second run. Anyway, pray for rain. The river is really low and the fish NEED a place to HIDE. Most trout were caught on red aquatic worms. All fish were sight fished to while tight line nymphing with no indicator. Here are a few "breeders" I know that this will get troutfishing4life ready for tomorrow
Female that was spewing eggs
This fish reminded me of a dog. Wide body and it looked mean.

That is a mean looking 'bow. Nice.
Boy, those trout get such beautiful, radiant colors growing up in a holding tank, don't they? Hahaha.... Nice work Breeder King. Wish I could get out there and drag some of those lazy fish in with ya.
Aaron and I fished yesterday and he got this big one
