I really enjoyed reading French Lessons. Very well written. Clema sounds like you were a gracious host. Like you said Aaron fish like that will be in your memory for life, that's what's great about this sport, the memories. The Long Game was excellent also hopefully I will put those tips to use one evening while fishing a hatch. I caught a few fish the other day fishing the slower water that I normally would of past by thanks to watching the DVD.

We'll try to get another bunch of good memories this year too...

I didn't receive my issue for the moment... grrrrrrr

The very good thing is that we both learned a lot during Aaron's trip.
For me, it was great to follow him and see his way of fishing my usual streams.
I was anxious because the fish density is so much lower than in USA... I was under pression
I was happy to succeed finding fish for him. that's not always easy here.

Aaron, did you wrote about your discover of grayling fishing? I liked to make you discover this fish. I love this fish.
Catching grayling on sight nymphing is nice and in dry it's always something special. very different from trout fishing...

i can't wait for reading the article.

Bob, I just read an article about different species of trout in Europe. A lot have disapeared at this time. But almost every country and sometime every region of the country has got his own species of trouts: like mamoratas in Slovenia.
East Europe is still quite preserved and you can meet a lot of different trout.
    Even in UK...

the article is in french, so I can share it. That was interesting...

That was of Aaron's problems in the first days... But he learned fast that here, you don't step into the water before being sure there's no fish. In fact, you don't step into the stream as long as you don't need it. if you can stay on the bank to cast, it's better. As Aaron explained in his article, trout are very spooky and if you make some waves in the river, you'll be skunked for sure!
