This is a tiny snapshot of why I keep doing this in spite of the nonsense

    Aaron,

It was a pleasure meeting you at the fly show on Saturday. Thanks again for going out of your way and showing me how to tie the DW knot! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me. Out of everything I came across at the show, that quick lesson was the most valuable. Much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Jon

    Dear mr Jasper,

I am very much enjoying this TPO forum, as I do your tweets and articles in American Angler. Thanks for all of the good fly fishing info. I've been enjoying getting back into the sport and have been delighted to see my 11 year has taken to it too. He caught his first trout on a fly over winter break. I'm still a 1-3 fish guy per trip (winter and Fall) but am having a blast. Mostly fish SBR but it is a hike for me from Cherry Hill.
Keep up the excellent work, I have no doubt your Grand Father is smiling down upon you with all you have done for this sport!
    Sincerely,
    Bill

    Hey Aaron,
I have been fly fishing for 8 or so years and someone introduced me to your most
recent video. Great job with the video. I have been nymphing for the past few
years but my goal this year is to really dedicate time to euro nymphing. The
only flies that I tie are the ones I use for striped bass. I don't tie any for
freshwater or trout so my question to you is do you sell any flies that you tie
or could you lead me in the right direction to where I could get some euro nymph
flies to get me started. I am also a teacher, I teach high school biology.
    Thanks Aaron

    Charlie

For me its about teaching people how to be better anglers. Its not about playing politics. I get dozens of these every week. This is the fuel behind what I do. I am an average person trying to share what I've been lucky to learn with open minded anglers who are willing to learn. I learn lessons every time out.
