My favorite small stream rod is a Normark County fly Devonshire 7' 3 weight, for the bigger rivers I like my 8ft 5 weight Loomis Slate during the Autumn and a 9ft Slate 3 weight during the summer.
Unfortuantly I haven't got or tried a TFO
I absolutely love my Sage txl-f 1wt. It will handle surprisingly large fish too.

I like the TFO finesse rods I have the 6'9" 1wt, and the 7'9" 3wt.
Sage SLT 8' 9" 3 wt
T&T Special Dry Fly 8ft DT 4....
relocated to the Rockies!
I second the Sage SLT 8'9" 3 weight.
I recently built a 6ft 6in. 2 wt rod on a sevier tiger eye colored blank for a family member and when it was finished it felt so good I am ordering one for myself and my wife wants one also. It has not been fished yet but I am sure for a small mtn. stream in Co. which is where it will be used It will be great, plus it looks really cool.
If the stream is not overgrown and i am going to nymph i will use my 8'6" Winston IM6 3wt. If i am only going to be fishing drys i will use an old 6'6" Orvis HLS 4wt. That rod is a slingshot. I honestly cannot stant these little light rods. I just shipped a 7'3" TFO finess i sold on ebay, i thought it was garbage.
I have a Cortland Brook 8' 4wt. A custom built 7'3" 3wt, and a custom built 6'6" 2 wt. It all depends on the definition of "small" as to which I reach for.
I just built a 6ft 6in 2wt. rod for a family member and when it was finished I loved the feel of it. I have just ordered a 6 6 2 wt blank for myself and a 7ft 4 wt for my wife. I cant wait to get them together and use them this spring up here in the mtns of N Pa. My son in law lives in Co. and just loved the rod I sent him for Christmas but hasnt been able to fish it yet obviously. I just got a really nice 2wt. reel from sandflys shop to send to him also. Looks great and a good price.
