youre right .. i remember the post. those white wulffs do quite well as do usuals. it is all in the presentation. i have caught fish on size 8 white wulffs even in the slower water.

The time you had sucess with white wulfs on D >What month was it?Also was it at dusk or after dark?

Hi all, I fish the sci anglers nymph line and think it makes a big difference, especially when using significant weight and an indicator. i also find it doubles as a great bass bug line. The fatter head helps turn over more wind resistant flies. I'm sure the rio line you all are using has similar characteristics.
I seriously hope color doesn't make that big a difference as I just got some new three weight line in orange! So far so good as far as catching fish but I haven't given't it a stern "spring creek" test yet.
You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish.
i dont think the line color makes as big a difference as we think. i think that it is a matter of how we lay the line down on the water. torrey has the new sa nymph line and he likes it. i liked the tip color on his... it was a peach color. you are right the same line should be really good for throwing bass bugs.
Like I said before, I'm sure most of the time it doesn't matter at all, but for big, spooky fish in certain situations it may. I like a line light enough in color that I can see it, but at the same time drab/natural enough that it can blend in against the background you are fishing in. The Sci Angler "willow" color is my all time favorite, with a moderately bright (but not flourescent) green color a close second- most line makers produce a floater in some shade of brighter green.

Juice-
I just noticed a question from u earlier in this thread about testing the visibility of flouro vs. mono- I think we discussed this elsewhere on the forum, but I'll recap super briefly: using "edge detection technology", they scientifically determined that 1x flouro is equal in visibility to 5x mono. Wow, right? Of course, if you tie an unweighted #18 nymph on 1x flouro it will not drift very naturally at all due to the greater stiffness of the thicker line. Remember too, flouro is denser than mono, and is a lot more abrasion resistant.
