Farmington, 9/29 morning shift, Round 2

So after fishing the Housy till early morning (a.m. hours), we got a solid 3 hours of sleep ;D, and headed back out! TPO style? I think so.

So this is what the Farmington looks like in the light. . .
The river was beautiful, with true fall colors surrounding the streambed. To our surprise, not too many people there. Needless to say, the pressure escalated throughout the morning. We got into some really nice fish this morning. Soon after we started, Brookie got a beautiful 19' brown on a streamer, which was colored up good (dark brown, tanned belly). Soon thereafter, I got a nice sized brown myself (about 15', maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less) on the FLY OF THE MONTH - along with a few nice rainbows. Another round of cheers to the RS2! It got me most of my fish today. Good luck continued for both of us the rest of the morning. We landed at least a dozen fish if not more, mostly browns. We even had a double hook-up at one point when the action revved up.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the morning was when we both witnessed two or three trout "torpedoing" up river on the top of the water, and slashing side to side. It honestly looked like a couple of beavers scurrying upstream chasing food. Could this be pre-spawn behavior? The good news, those fish were BIG!

Thanks Dave, looking forward to the next one!

Great way to start fall fishing!
    Pictures soon to follow:

Daves... those are both nice brown trout. Dave H That's one of the prettiest trout that I have seen come out of the Farmington. Those spawning colors are awesome. Good job guys.
