I'm evolving a room to similar effect. I have one question. How are you mounting/securing the spool risers to the wall? Do you drill in and use screws?

I use 3m Command Strips... They are "velcro" looking picture hanging strips that you just tape to the wall and the back of the spool rack. They've held up really well so far.
