    Goldilocks

I watched a flyfishing show filmed in the winter in colorado. The guy was using a fly that he kept referring to as Goldilocks, they pounded the fish. The best I could make of it was a Wooly Bugger tied with a cream tail, with a few strands of gold tinsel for flash. The body was cream/gold tinsel chenille with cream palmered hackle and gold wire for ribbing. Finally, a red thread head was built at the front (nothing out of the ordinary just made a few extra wraps to create a little red spot just behind the eye of the hook). Of course, the best part of this story is that I proceeded to make the fly and took it to a favorite river of mine and landed three nice browns on it. I weighted the fly heavily and drug it close to the bottom. I also swung the fly low in the water column at the front of some fairly deep pools. They hit the fly with aggression, even now!

Looks very similar....differences are a cream marabou tail on the fly I was using and the gold tinsel was flat. It did not have a bead and the thread was red. But yes this is the closest Ive seen since the show. VERY COOL!
