Didn't he just get his driver's license??

I am surprised with the lack of response here. People on TPO garner a ton of information from him and couldn't give a simple happy birthday wish....

    Happy Belated Birthday Davy.

Here's my Davy story....many years ago I read an article about the Davy knot. I was really interested in learning how to tie it and, since his e-mail address was listed, I sent him a message. He responded and asked for my mailing address. Several days later, I received an envelope from him containing a piece of amnesia and a hook taped to a card shopwing me exactly how to tie it. That was well over 5 years ago and I still carry it in my vest pocket. I've shown several of my buddies how to tie the know and then whip out my "Davy card" so they can see what he sent me.

There isn't enough people like that in the world today.

Happy Birthday Davy- Thanks for the time you spent talking to me about fishing the white , standing in rain outside of the Radio Shack in Flippin . That meant a lot to me.

    Happy belated birthday.
And thank you for doing the Wet Fly Ways DVD. I just got a copy, and need to watch it several more times, but there are some ideas in there that will change the way I fish.

    Thanks guys.
I spent my day guiding one of my regular customers in atrocious conditions of high winds, wet and cold, but he did real well.
It calmed down late afternoon so decided to go shoot our regular 5 stand championship at the gun club, what l did not know was my shooting friends had set up a birthday deal for me, and to top it off l also won the event that night. Missed very few targets.

Its now been 43 years in the Fly Fishing business, and still going strong, but a little slower.

    Davy.

    belated Happy Birthday!

I too received a Davy card with a knot explanation. Davy's DVD wet fly ways opened my eyes to a whole new way of fishing that is now my favorite approach. I started tying flies because of Davy, since wets and soft hackles were thin on the ground in the fly shops I visited. His tying DVD was a great tutorial. I owe Davy a great debt of gratitude for the gift of wet fly fishing!

    All the Very Best Davy!
