    Lamson Lite Speed

I just returned from a week of fishing (and a lot of catching) for browns at Oak Orchard. I had ordered Lite Speed #3 and got a chance to to give it a good workout. I love this reel (I already have several 1st gen. Velocities) and highly recommend it, especially since they are available on close-out. Apparently they're being redone for 2012. I got mine from Madison River Fishing Company for a very good price, $225 (original price is $339). In fact since I liked the #3 so much, I just ordered a #2 , also on close-out for $199 (original price is $299).

Lamson does make a great reel. I used to use the Waterworks ULA force. I also had a few Litespeeds. In fact I also used my larger one on a switch rod for salmon and steelhead. I gave it to my friend and he loves it as well. The drag is almost totally waterproof and can stop a truck!

On a side note not being in Colorado S----!

I have a lite speed 2 and like it a lot. I have had great experiences with their customer service the couple of times I have had to deal with them. The drag has been excellent.
