Report: Rockaway River

So I shot by the Rockaway today. Man it got hammered by Irene. It was only an hour after stopping by the office, but it was productive. I caught 2 stockies on a hot-spot prince nymph, fished on an indi rig. Most importantly, my first fish ever on a fly I tied myself! My leader and indi also.

No fish porn as I wasn't equipped with my water proof camera, but here's a pic of the bank cut out. The flow actually is improved since I've been here last. It's a nice pool with lots of seams. All the dirt you see was formerly tree lined.
