Pequest river: Advice and recommendations
After next weekend my obligations are done. My wife owes me a fishing day!
I was thinking of going up to the Pequest. Will it be recovered by then? I plan on indicator fishing, any tips advice, locations would be highly appreciated.
I will have a glass of buttermilk and a couple of dogs course at Hot Dog Johnnies....

I'd hate to say it but fish along the bank from right below the bridge near the hatchery at to about 50 feet below the spillway. The fish will be along the bank as the water if quite high. San Juan Worms and Eggs should work. Also try nymphs with orange colored beads.

Thanks Aaron. I meant I will be fishing the weekend of the 24th, so I figured (hope) thats enough time for the water to recede. I know its cranking still. If not I'll try somewhere else.

When the Pequest is at 'normal' flow, I have had nice luck with floating an Ausable Bomber. After the first set of riffles down from the hatchery spillway, I have caught fish along that stretch to just above the bridge. It seems to be effective starting at about 1 hour before sunset.
Good luck It is a great river...
