I've never tried them, but I know you can get them at FeatherCrafters.

Does anyone use furled leaders. If so, where can they be purchased.

I spent most of my money on fishing equipment, beer and whiskey, the rest I just wasted.
The leaders are very supple and turn over great. You don't get as much spray as you would as a braided leader. They are also very durable and last a very long time. The average guy would get at least a season out of them. I know the HRO has them. I hope this helps you out.
There are two different types of furled leaders, the construction is very much the same.
Monofillament furled from Feather Craft and available at some local fly shops. http://www.blueskyfly.com/
Thread furled leaders are available from Kathy Scott in ME, dpvbkjs@tdstelme.net
I do not know if any fly shops carry this design. The thread is usually Uni 6/0 and is available in most of the thread colors. She also sells a DVD which is excellent instruction if you wish to make your own wooden frame and assemble them at home.
Jim Cramer also makes these thread furled leaders on a small scale for personal use and some limited sales. Jim recommends using Mulcin (Red can) flotant on his leaders.
I like the thread design for small flies and have used leaders from both Jim and Kathy.
Never tried the monofillament design and cannot comment.

Would like to share my success of following the direction of this book Furled Leaders it shows you the ways you can customize Furled Leaders! it's really great! :-)
I like the Blue Sky leaders. As Aaron noted they turn over really nice, cast well and are vey versatile.
With loops at both ends (some come with micro rings) they are easy to change, and it is easy to mix and match tippet.
I like to use the silicone Mucilin on them too.
The only problem I've found is that they have a tendency to fray slightly after a lot of use, and the loops at the leader end tend to separate. I'm thinking of trying some of the Loon Knot Sense on them to smooth things out.
I didn't receive a Feathercraft catalog this year so I'm unsure of their status. Cabela's sells the Blue Sky furled leader and Kenny Tutalo of Baxter House Outfitters in Roscoe, NY sells the Medusa brand. Obviously, both vendors do mailorder sales. They do indeed lay out nicely and don't have the permanent corkscrew curl that regular knotless tapered leaders develop after use. On the minus side, I didn't like the way they felt rubbing against the rod guides when landing fish.
I have this book called Make Furled Leaders, it shows you some new tools and a completely new jig design and it's really amazing following the directions in this book!
