The Housatonic... Some Great Action for Len and his Buddy

I haven't done a ton of guide trips this season due to having lots of other obligations, both fishing and non fishing related. This was one of those days where it was a pleasure to take these two "youngsters" nymphing for a few hours. We hammered the fish. We caught some really nice holdover brown and rainbow trout. It was a spectacular day to be out there. The weather was great and the fishing coincided right with it! We indicator nymphed with small hot spot nymphs doing the most damage! These two guys never fished the Housatonic. I am glad the she was so generous to them!

    Boats don't scare them

Locked again... this was the norm for the day!

    Nice HRO holdover Rainbow!

    Another!

    another!

    And yet another....

    You get the hint

This caddis was my pet... and I think it brought us luck as it stayed on my arm or hand at every spot that we visited...

Yeah I noticed the $50 nippers also. I have three of them. The third one is a backup for my backup pair lol.
On a serious note, how do you know that the rainbows are holdovers?
As far as fishermen go, Captain Ahab was pretty tame.
