Those Salmon pars are great bait!
It has it's place, That place is usually somewhere in the construction of a tapered leader. If your considering it's use with streamers the line is stiffer than most mono. so turn over would be much easier but I don't think you would want to use it if your fish are leader shy.. Works good with warm water fish for shure... Carp being an exception.

Gotta love those salmon parr. Its a federally funded trout fattening program for the Farmington river.
I think they tried Salmon Parr in like 4 streams here in Idaho, I'm guessing it was unsuccessful cause i haven't heard anything in a while and i haven't seen any patterns tied to imitate them.

Are you guys changing leader lengths or styles when dead drifting a streamer? Longer leader or the same as usual? Thanks.
What are you guys using for a streamer knot connection? I've read some like to use a loop to keep them more "agile" and free floating. Does it matter?
