    Back in Action 7/17/2007

Fished with Tony last night... actually this morning. We caught too many trout to count. We had fish over 20 inches and i had two of them. It was unreal. It was a most memorable fishing experience. You have to excuse the pictures. It was foggy and rainy and this mixed with the cold water made the camera lense fog up. However you can see by the pictures that we were into some serious fish.

On a side note... thanks brad for getting me the rods and reels. They are going to get some serious action in the coming weeks. That 9 foot 5 weight Z Axis took a beating from those trout last night. Tony even had to have me reel one in because his hands were cramping... what a bad problem to have. : Tony thanks for the Ct. soft hackle and I can't wait to hit the West Branch this weekend.

You are right... I sometimes forget that is the "West Branch". Have you ever gone to the West Branch of the Delaware? The trout are the same size of the ones at the Farmington but they are ALL wild fish. You should check that fishery out if you haven't already. It gets really crowded but the fish are amazing.

    Aaron,
I can't see the pictures from work, but I am sure they are amazing fish. I can't imagine the river was very crowded with fellow anglers last night. Did the beavers come and check you out? How was it getting around?

I heard the beaver in the distance. It slapped the water with its tail. I also heard them gathering tree branches from the shore. The getting around was not too bad. I did hit my knee a few times on rocks that I did not see.
