    farmington

Made it back up to the river today , and took the walk to the boneyard .Boy the dirt road was full of holes .Got into the river , when I happend to look up and saw a bald eagle what a way to start the day .So I tied on an black woolybugger and started to make my first drift and came up empty. So I took a few steps down and tried it again and the rod stoped and I felt the head shake and it was over .Striped the line in and it was a clean break the fish must have broke me off on the take ,so then tied on an olivewoolybugger with 3x tippet on fished down about ten more feet and got another hook up and was able to land a fat 14 inch female brown nice way to end the day

good job!! i know that mikek was out there today. he called me and told me that i got five really nice fish today between 16 and 18 inches. march is a great time to be on the rivers in ct. the trout you catch are always nice holdover fish. i actually cant stand it when they stock the trout on the housy. those little dinks are annoying... but they are our future big fish. they always seem to do it when the fishing starts to get really good. good job on the fish. i will always take one trout over none any day. keep the reports coming.
